Nancy Wilson is a Grammy Award winner in jazz. Her birth date was February 20, 1937, in Chillicothe Ohio, to Olden Wilson who worked at an ironworks and Lillian Ryan, a former domestic worker. Nancy is the youngest of six siblings. Nancy was heavily influenced in her early years by the music her dad was a fan of and played in the her home. As young as four years old, she was certain she'd be a singing star. Her talent developed by her involvement in the choir at church. When she was 15, she won an audition on television and began appearing on The Skyline Melodies Tv Show while at the time she was still in high school. The nightclubs where she was a regular performer, she began working at age 15. Nancy was kicked out of Central State University in Ohio after matriculating for an entire year. Her first record was recorded in 1956 with Rusty's Carolyn Club Big Band. The band was on tour with her between 1956 and 1958. Nancy's initial Dot Records recording was made during her time in the Big Band of Carolyn Club. Cannonball advised her to make the move in New York and go to The Big Town to further her career. Within one month, she got a gig singing at The Blue Morocco Night Club situated on Boston Road in The Bronx which was where her agent was introduced to her voice and agreed to sign her. It was a contract by Capitol Records in 1960. That year, she released her first single. Guess Who I See Today? Capitol issued five Nancy Wilson albums within two years. She initially focused on rhythm and blues, under Adderley's influence, she began to move away from R&B and embraced music from jazz and torch. Their collaboration in 1962 with Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley led her to fame and her breakthrough smash Tell Me the Truth in 1963. The following year it led to her getting booked in New York's Coconut Grove - the top nightclub in America.

She completed her education at a prestigious private school, she graduated from Oxford University. She graduated with a degree of Anthropology/Archaeology. Maisie launched her acting career through the film Our First World, released in 2012. Ellie played a role in the 2013 short film Americano and Rum. She was featured as the role of a cameo Korr Sella for the film Short Wars: The Force Awakens, in the year 2015. She played Chloe Winthrop in Netflix's original film The Kissing Booth Season 2 & 3.
