Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the US. She is currently the president of president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the owner of the National Basketball Association. A California born Buss was raised in an upper class family. Jerry Buss, her father, was an entrepreneur with a real estate business who later eventually became the proprietor of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. The couple divorced in 1972, which caused her to feel emotionally neglected. In 1972, at age 19 she started working within the family's company. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was president of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice president for the Lakers. Buss her father passed away in 2013, as did the Lakers were passed down by her and five of her siblings via a trust. Each sibling had an equal number of votes. She assumed her duties as president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also a co-founder of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling organization based within Los Angeles.
